1929 22’ Chris Craft Runabout  Cadet        22’   Contact us for special pricing!

The 26’ Triple Cockpit runabout was Chris Crafts first “production” boat , built from 1922 thru 1930. In 1927 Chris Craft introduced the  22’ “Cadet”, essentially a shortened version of the 26 but virtually identical in layout & interior space. It soon became as popular as her bigger sister, and like the 26, this hull was used for yacht tenders & racers as well,. Technically only the 1927 was officially called the  “Cadet” , and mostly  minor changes were made during the production run of 1927-1931.  Many people refer to whole production run as Cadets however.  By the way, the Cadet was the first boat that could be purchased in installments! As always, Chris Craft was ahead of their time.

We are delighted to offer this beautiful  example of the 1929 22’ Cadet.  She is a meticulously restored & very original model with  well over $100,000 invested. She is powered by her original 100 hp Chrysler Crown Straight 6 engine  and has about 30 hours on it since a complete (and expensive!) top to bottom rebuild. Fully equipped including covers and a custom fitted trailer,  “ Big Boat ”  is  now ready for a new home.

I believe this to be the best one on the market in any price range and an absolutely lovely example of the “Gatsby” age.  More photos and  history are  available as well as original  invoices for all engine and boat restoration work. Though a Show winner, she is by no means a museum piece – an outstanding family user boat. By the way, I learned to water ski on my Grandfather’s Cadet just over 60 years ago!

Take a close look at “Big Boat” folks, it is a favorite of mine & we are encouraging offers as well… you will not be disappointed!
