1968 Chris Craft Dory 26′ $13,500
One of my personal favorites – I love this boat!
Agile, safe, seaworthy & dependable, the present owners are moving up to a larger cruiser with more amenities, so their baby has to go…
This is a 1968 Chris Craft 26 foot Cavalier Cutlass “Dory” wood cruiser with trailer.
Only 220 of these boats were produced between ’66 and ’68. Beam is 10 feet, draft is 26″, fuel capacity is 80 gallons, The engine is the workhorse Chris Craft 327 F 210HP & runs like a top. Cuddy cabin has a V berth, porta potty and plenty of storage. Chris Craft designed this as an “offshore” model styled after the traditional Grand Banks Dory.
The boat weighs approx. 3500 lbs and includes a dual axle Load Rite trailer with hydraulic brakes, good bearings & good tires. Boat has full canvas camper enclosure (Bimini with add on camper top) with all side curtains & screens (in very good condition) plus a full mooring cover.
Cushions are in very good condition. Has fresh paint & varnish. Included is the original mahogany Chris Craft fold up swim/ boarding ladder that hooks on to transom brackets and when not in use, it doubles as boarding steps on the passenger side of the cockpit – quite a handy feature! All wiring and lights are in excellent condition. There are 2 bilge pumps in good working order – larger pump is set up for secondary pumping if necessary. Brand new batteries ( with switch ) & VFH radio. Bilge is very clean, has high quality stainless steel mufflers (very quiet), new alternator & coil. Helm is all original and in great condition.
This is an outstanding boat in every respect – seaworthy, safe & towable Classic family day or overnighter boat. She also excels in nasty weather…and that will happen! More info just for the asking.
